17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: "Gentile Bellini - The Visionary Venetian Artist" Gentile Bellini (1429-1507), a prominent figure in the development of the Venetian School of painting, is depicted in this evocative portrait. Born in Venice, Bellini was the elder brother of the renowned painter Giovanni Bellini. His artistic career began under the tutelage of his father, Jacopo Bellini, a respected painter and draftsman. This image showcases Gentile Bellini in the prime of his artistic career. His piercing gaze and the thoughtful expression on his face suggest a deep introspection, perhaps reflecting the profound influence of his artistic journey. The artist wears a simple, dark robe, adorned with a fur-trimmed cloak, signifying his status and wealth. The intricate folds of the fabric and the delicate rendering of the fur add a sense of texture and depth to the painting. Gentile Bellini's innovative approach to painting, characterized by his mastery of perspective and the use of chiaroscuro, revolutionized the Venetian art scene. His works, which include portraits, landscapes, and religious scenes, were highly sought after by patrons both in Venice and beyond. Bellini's influence extended beyond the realm of painting, as he also played a significant role in the development of printmaking in Venice. This portrait, a testament to Gentile Bellini's artistic genius, offers a glimpse into the life of a visionary Venetian artist who left an indelible mark on the history of Western art.
