FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this evocative and thought-provoking image, Italian patriot and military leader Giuseppe Garibaldi (1807-1882) is depicted surrounded by the ethereal figures of those who made history in the past. The year is not explicitly stated, but the vintage attire and the somber, otherworldly atmosphere suggest a bygone era. Garibaldi, a central figure in the Italian unification movement, is shown in the foreground, clad in his signature red shirt and wearing a wide-brimmed hat. His steely gaze is fixed on the horizon, as if contemplating the future of his nation. The ghostly apparitions of historical figures, both Italian and international, encircle him, their translucent forms casting an air of reverence and respect. Among the distinguished company are the likes of Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo Galilei, and Niccolò Machiavelli, all of whom made indelible contributions to Italian culture and history. Other figures, such as Napoleon Bonaparte and George Washington, underscore the international significance of Garibaldi's endeavors. The haunting image serves as a poignant reminder of the enduring legacy of these historical figures and the profound impact they had on the world. Their ghostly presence around Garibaldi emphasizes the continuity of history and the interconnectedness of the past, present, and future. The photograph, a captivating work from Mary Evans Prints Online, invites us to reflect on the enduring power of history and the indomitable spirit of those who shaped it.
