FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Francisco Madero's Triumphant Entry into Mexico City as the First Constitutional President of Mexico (1911) This engraving by renowned Mexican engraver Jose Guadalupe Posada captures the historic moment when Francisco Madero, Mexico's first constitutionally elected president, entered Mexico City on November 21, 1911. Madero, dressed in a formal suit and hat, rides in an open carriage, waving to the cheering crowd that lines the streets. His wife, Carmen Romo de Madero, sits beside him, holding a handkerchief to her face in delight. The jubilant scene reflects the hope and excitement that Madero's presidency brought to the Mexican people, who had long yearned for democratic reform and an end to the Porfirio Diaz regime. The image is a testament to the political transformation that was taking place in Latin America during the early 20th century. Madero's election marked a significant shift towards democracy and the rule of law, and his presidency paved the way for future reforms that would shape Mexico's modern history. The engraving also highlights the contemporary political climate of the time, as well as the cultural significance of Posada's work in capturing historical moments and bringing them to the masses. The image is an invaluable historical document, showcasing the energy and enthusiasm of the Mexican people as they welcomed their new leader. It is a reminder of the enduring power of political change and the hope that it can bring to a nation and its people.
