23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Foran Path, Point of Garron (c1828): A Watercolour Masterpiece by Andrew Nicholl This exquisite watercolour painting, titled "Foran Path, Point of Garron," dates back to 1828 and was created by the renowned Irish artist, Andrew Nicholl (1804-1886). Nicholl was known for his exceptional talent in capturing the natural beauty of the Irish landscape through his drawings and watercolours. The scene depicted in this painting is located at Foran Path, Point of Garron, a picturesque coastal area in Northern Ireland. The artist has brilliantly captured the rugged cliffs, the crashing waves against the shore, and the serene beauty of the surrounding landscape. The path leading towards the cliffs adds a sense of mystery and intrigue, inviting the viewer to explore the unknown. The use of watercolour on paper enhances the vibrancy of the painting, bringing out the rich hues of the greenery, the deep blues of the sea, and the earthy tones of the cliffs. The artist's attention to detail is evident in the way he has depicted the individual blades of grass, the texture of the rocks, and the movement of the water. This painting is a testament to Nicholl's artistic skill and his ability to capture the raw beauty of nature. It provides a glimpse into the past, transporting the viewer to a time when the Irish landscape was untouched by modern development. The painting is a valuable addition to any collection of Irish art or a beautiful decor piece for those who appreciate the natural world.
