23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
is an exquisite watercolor drawing by the Irish artist Andrew Nicholl, created in the year 1828. This work of art offers a breathtaking view of Fairhead Point, a prominent headland located along the County Antrim coast in Northern Ireland. The drawing showcases the rugged beauty of the Irish landscape, with the winding path of Greymans leading up to the base of Fairhead Point. The path, barely visible against the lush greenery, adds a sense of mystery and intrigue, inviting the viewer to explore the unknown. The vibrant colors of the drawing bring the scene to life, with the deep blues of the sea contrasting against the rich greens of the foliage and the earthy browns of the path. The intricate details in the drawing, from the individual leaves on the trees to the ripples in the water, demonstrate Nicholl's exceptional skill as a watercolor artist. The drawing also provides a glimpse into the past, offering a window into the natural beauty of Ireland during the early 19th century. The absence of modern structures and development in the scene adds to the timeless quality of the artwork, making it a cherished piece for anyone with an appreciation for Irish history and natural wonders. Andrew Nicholl, born in 1804, was a renowned Irish artist known for his watercolor paintings of landscapes and seascapes. His works were highly sought after by collectors and art enthusiasts during his time, and continue to be admired and appreciated today.
