17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This photograph captures the essence of two iconic breeds of foxhounds, the English Foxhound and the American Foxhound, bounding through the dense woods of the 20th century. The image transports us back in time, as the hounds' powerful strides and focused expressions convey their innate hunting instincts and the thrill of the chase. The English Foxhound, with its distinctive tri-colored coat and tall, muscular build, is a quintessential symbol of traditional English hunting culture. Its long snout and keen sense of smell make it an expert tracker of foxes, making it an invaluable companion for hunters. In contrast, the American Foxhound, with its shorter, red and white speckled coat, was developed specifically for hunting in the American colonies. Its vocalization, or "voice," is a distinctive sound used to alert the pack to the scent of a fox, making it an essential part of the hunting team. Both breeds share a common ancestry, with the English Foxhound being the older and more refined of the two. However, the American Foxhound's adaptability to the North American environment and its unique vocalization made it a favorite among hunters in the New World. This photograph is a testament to the enduring bond between man and dog, as well as the rich history of foxhound breeding and hunting traditions. The hounds' boundless energy and focus on the hunt are a reminder of the timeless joy and excitement that comes from spending time in nature with our canine companions.
