17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This collection of 20 bird eggs showcases the stunning diversity and intricacy of avian anatomy. Housed at the esteemed Natural History Museum at Tring, these specimens represent a range of sizes, shapes, and colors from various bird families. The collection includes eggs from birds of prey, such as the accipitridae family, which includes the majestic eagle (Aquila spp.) and the agile harrier hawk (Circus spp.). The brown eggs of the common pheasant (Phasianus colchicus) are also present, as well as the smaller, speckled eggs of the bluebird (Sialia spp.). The collection further highlights the eggs of wading birds, including the charadriiformes family, with the elongated, ribbed eggs of the oystercatcher (Haematopus ostralegus) and the round, smooth eggs of the common ringed plover (Charadrius hiaticula). The brolga (Grus rubicunda), a large, flightless bird from Australia, contributes its large, oval eggs to the collection. Moreover, the collection features eggs from the anatidae family, such as the arctic goose (Branta leucopsis), and the cracticidae family, including the butcherbird (Cracticus spp.) with its small, blue-green eggs. This collection is a testament to the rich biodiversity of birds and the intricate process of egg formation within the avian world. Each egg, unique in its own right, is a marvel of nature, reflecting the distinct characteristics of the bird species that produced it. The Natural History Museum at Tring continues to preserve and study these precious specimens, contributing to our understanding of the natural world and the importance of conservation efforts.
