17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

At the Christmas Service
EDITORS COMMENTS
is a charming and unique illustration by Charles Robinson, dated 1906, showcasing a group of children enthusiastically singing carols during a Christmas service. The scene is filled with the joy and excitement of the holiday season, as evidenced by the wide grins on the children's faces and the bows and ribbons adorning their hats. The illustration stands out with its distinctive cartoon-like style, which sets it apart from other more traditional Christmas illustrations of the time. The children are depicted in various poses, some leaning forward to engage with the hymn book in their laps, while others raise their voices in song. The pews in the background are filled with attentive adults, their wide-brimmed hats creating a sense of depth and perspective. The children's carol books are open in their laps, revealing the lyrics to the hymns they are singing. The illustration captures the sense of community and togetherness that is a hallmark of the Christmas season, as the children come together to celebrate and share in the joy of the holiday. The muted colors and soft lines of the illustration create a warm and inviting atmosphere, transporting the viewer back in time to a simpler, more innocent era. "At the Christmas Service" is a delightful and enduring reminder of the magic and wonder of the holiday season and the joy of singing carols with loved ones.
