17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: A Timeless Encounter: Car and Motorbike Passing on a Scottish Country Road, Circa 1920s 2. Description: This evocative black-and-white photograph captures the essence of a bygone era, as a car and a motorbike pass each other on a winding Scottish country road. The scene is set against the backdrop of a signpost, adorned with the names Inverness and Fort William, two iconic Scottish towns nestled amidst the breathtaking Highland scenery. 3. Context: The 1920s marked a significant period in the history of transportation, as cars and motorbikes became increasingly popular modes of travel. This photograph offers a glimpse into the early days of personal mobility, showcasing the contrast between the enclosed comfort of a car and the exhilarating freedom of a motorbike. 4. Setting: The rugged terrain and picturesque countryside of Scotland provide the perfect backdrop for this moment. The rolling hills, dotted with trees and heather, give way to the distant mountains, their peaks shrouded in mist and mystery. The serene beauty of nature is a stark contrast to the raw power and speed of the vehicles. 5. Details: The car, a classic model with its elegant design and large wheels, exudes an air of sophistication and luxury. The motorbike, with its rider in leather gear, epitomizes the spirit of adventure and the thrill of the open road. The signpost, with its faded paint and weathered appearance, adds a sense of history and nostalgia to the scene. 6. Conclusion: This photograph is a testament to the allure of the open road and the freedom it offers. The passing of the car and motorbike on the Scottish country road is a timeless encounter, frozen in history and waiting to be rediscovered. It invites us to imagine the stories of the people and the places that once filled this beautiful and historic landscape.
