31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This evocative photograph captures the bustling scene at Browns Foundry 1 in Stockton-on-Tees during the 1970s. The foundry, which was once a major industrial hub in the region, is seen in full swing as workers busily tend to the massive machinery that lines the factory floor. In the foreground, a young apprentice named Robin Dale, clad in protective gear, inspects a freshly poured casting with great concentration. The foundry's towering furnaces and intricate network of pipes and conveyor belts create an impressive backdrop, while the thick plumes of smoke billowing from the chimneys serve as a reminder of the intense heat and energy required to transform raw materials into finished products. The photograph offers a glimpse into the past, transporting us back to an era when heavy industry dominated the landscape of Stockton-on-Tees and the Tees Valley. Browns Foundry 1 was a key player in the region's industrial heritage, producing a diverse range of castings for various industries, including the railways, shipping, and engineering sectors. The foundry's legacy continues to be felt in the area, with many of its former employees and their descendants carrying on the traditions and skills passed down through generations. This photograph is not only a testament to the industrial prowess of Browns Foundry 1 but also a poignant reminder of the human stories and personal experiences that shaped the lives of those who worked there.
