17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

The Bathing Place at Dunleady,
EDITORS COMMENTS
an exquisite watercolor drawing by James Moore, captures the picturesque scene of a popular Irish bathing spot in the year 1850. The serene image invites us to take a moment of respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life, transporting us back in time to an era of simple pleasures. James Moore, an accomplished artist of the Victorian era, skillfully rendered the scene in ink and watercolor on paper. The Bathing Place at Dunleady is located in County Kildare, Ireland, and the drawing showcases the natural beauty of the area with its crystal-clear waters, lush greenery, and rocky shoreline. The image depicts a group of men, women, and children enjoying the refreshing waters of the river, while others prepare to take their turn. The sun casts a warm glow over the scene, and the gentle ripples on the water reflect the clear blue sky above. The surrounding trees and foliage add a sense of tranquility and peace, making The Bathing Place at Dunleady a truly idyllic setting. The intricate details in the drawing, from the textured rocks and water to the individual figures, demonstrate Moore's mastery of the medium. The Bathing Place at Dunleady is not only a beautiful work of art but also a snapshot of life in Ireland during the mid-19th century. This drawing invites us to appreciate the simple joys of nature and the beauty of a bygone era.
