31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Title: A Glimpse into the Past: The Majestic Spiral of Aulacostephanus Autissiodorensis, an Upper Jurassic Ammonite 2.. This image showcases a well-preserved Upper Jurassic ammonite, specifically the macroconch form of Aulacostephanus autissiodorensis. The ammonite's large, spiral shell, a characteristic feature of the Ammonoidea subclass within the Cephalopoda class, is a testament to the rich diversity of invertebrate life during the Mesozoic Era. The intricate ribbing on the shell, though slightly damaged, is still discernible, revealing the fine details of this prehistoric mollusk. Ammonites were cephalopods, related to the modern-day squid and octopus, and are identified by their distinctive, coiled shells. Aulacostephanus autissiodorensis, a member of the Aulacostephanidae family, was one of the larger ammonites, reaching up to 1 meter in diameter. The ammonite's shell was composed of aragonite, a calcium carbonate mineral, and was used for protection and buoyancy. The discovery of fossilized ammonites, like this one, offers invaluable insights into the Earth's geological past. These prehistoric creatures lived during the Phanerozoic Eon, a period marked by the presence of abundant fossil remains, and provide essential information about the ancient marine environments and the evolution of life on Earth. Aulacostephanus autissiodorensis is just one of the many fascinating ammonites that have been discovered, each with its unique features and intricate designs. This image serves as a reminder of the rich history and diversity of life that once thrived in our oceans, and the importance of preserving and studying these precious fossils to deepen our understanding of the natural world.
