FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Auguste Rodin - A Master of Modern Sculpture
EDITORS COMMENTS
Auguste Rodin (1840-1917), a pioneering figure in the world of modern sculpture, is depicted in this evocative photograph as he works intently on a sculpture, lost in thought and concentration. Born in Paris, Rodin was a French sculptor who revolutionized the art form with his innovative approach to depicting the human form in all its complexity and imperfection. In this image, Rodin is seen in his studio, surrounded by the tools of his trade and the raw materials of his art. His chisel is poised mid-stroke, the dust of the marble settling around him as he shapes the figure before him. The intense focus on his face, the furrowed brow and the set jaw, speak of the deep engagement and dedication that Rodin brought to his work. Rodin's influence on the art world was profound. He was a key figure in the development of modern sculpture, pushing the boundaries of traditional techniques and challenging the conventions of the time. His work, which often explored the human condition and the passage of time, resonated deeply with audiences and continues to inspire artists to this day. This photograph offers a glimpse into the life and work of a true master. It captures the essence of Rodin's artistic process, the energy and creativity that fueled his groundbreaking sculptures. Whether viewed as a historical document or as an artistic work in its own right, this image is a testament to the enduring power of Rodin's vision and his place in the annals of art history.
