FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the masterpiece "Orpheus and Eurydice" by Jean Raoux, a renowned French artist from the late 17th to early 18th century. Painted around 1709, this oil on canvas artwork measures an impressive 205.7 x 203.2 cm (81 x 80 in. ), making it a grand depiction of the tragic mythological tale. Raoux's rendition beautifully captures the emotional intensity of Orpheus and Eurydice's story. The composition centers on Orpheus, a legendary musician who descended into the underworld to rescue his beloved wife Eurydice from death's clutches. With delicate brushstrokes and vibrant colors, Raoux portrays Orpheus playing his lyre with fervor while casting longing glances at Eurydice. The painting exudes both sorrow and hope as Eurydice stands behind her husband, partially obscured in shadowy depths symbolizing their separation between life and death. The artist masterfully conveys their eternal bond through subtle details like intertwined hands and tender expressions that reflect their deep love for each other. As we gaze upon this remarkable print from the Liszt Collection, we are transported back in time to witness Raoux's artistic genius firsthand. This piece serves as a testament to his skillful storytelling ability through paintbrushes, capturing not only our attention but also our hearts with its poignant portrayal of one of mythology's most enduring love stories.
