17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This evocative photograph, taken by renowned British photographer Henry Bedford Lemere in 1893, captures the interior of the Forth Banks Goods Station, located in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England. Designed by architect William Bell for the North Eastern Railway Company, this impressive goods shed stands as a testament to the industrial prowess of the late 19th century. The vast expanse of the shed's interior is filled with an intriguing mix of textures, shapes, and patterns. The brick walls, lined with rows of wooden beams and iron columns, create a sense of strength and durability. The natural light streaming in through the large windows illuminates the space, casting long shadows and highlighting the intricate details of the architecture. The goods shed was a vital component of the railway system, serving as a hub for the storage, sorting, and distribution of various goods. The sheer size of the building allowed for the efficient handling of large quantities of merchandise, making it an essential part of the transportation network. The photograph also provides a glimpse into the past, offering a window into the working world of the railway era. The presence of workers in the background, dressed in their uniforms and engaged in their tasks, adds a sense of activity and industry to the scene. This photograph is not only an important historical record but also a beautiful work of art. The combination of the architectural design, the play of light and shadow, and the human element make it a captivating image that continues to fascinate viewers today.
