17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
1. Wharram Percy Medieval Village: A Glimpse into the Past Wharram Percy Medieval Village, located in the picturesque North Yorkshire countryside, offers a unique and fascinating glimpse into England's medieval past. This reconstruction drawing, created by Peter Dunn of the English Heritage Graphics Team, provides an intriguing representation of the village as it may have appeared in the late 12th century. The illustration showcases the North Manor and a selection of peasant houses, tofts, and crofts. The North Manor, situated at the heart of the village, was the residence of the lord and his family. The grand manor house, with its impressive timber-framed structure and thatched roof, would have been a symbol of power and wealth. Surrounding the manor are the humbler dwellings of the villagers. The tofts, which were the central plots of land for each family, are depicted with their timber-framed houses, outbuildings, and gardens. The crofts, smaller plots of land, are shown with their simple, thatched-roofed cottages and associated farm structures. The aerial perspective of this illustration offers a comprehensive view of the village layout, allowing us to imagine the bustling community that once thrived here. The rural landscape, with its rolling hills and verdant fields, provides a serene backdrop to this snapshot of medieval life. This illustration, produced by Historic England Photo Library, serves as a testament to the rich history and cultural heritage of Wharram Percy Medieval Village. It invites us to explore the past, to learn from it, and to appreciate the enduring legacy of our medieval ancestors.
