FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Commissioned by Lord Braybrooke, C C Neville, who was the proud owner of Audley End at that time, this image captures the grandeur and architectural brilliance of this iconic structure. Audley End House was constructed between 1605 and 1614 by John Thorpe and Bernard Janssen under the patronage of Earl of Suffolk, Treasurer to James I. The Bedford Lemere daybook reveals an intriguing fact about its funding - large sums were received from Spain by the Countess for its construction. This financial support played a significant role in shaping Audley End into what it stands as today. The architect responsible for this masterpiece is believed to be a relative of Cornelius Jansen, renowned portrait painter during that era. With such artistic lineage behind its creation, it's no wonder that every detail exudes elegance and sophistication. H Bedford Lemere skillfully captured this Elizabethan porch through his lens with remarkable precision. His print preserves not only the physical beauty but also reflects upon the historical significance held within these walls. As we gaze upon this image, we are transported back in time to witness firsthand the splendor and opulence that once graced Audley End House.
