17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In the enchanting nightscape of Whitby Abbey in North Yorkshire, England, the hauntingly beautiful ruins of this medieval monastery stand proud against the backdrop of a star-studded sky. The gothic architecture, bathed in the ethereal glow of floodlights, casts long, dramatic shadows on the tranquil pond below. The abbey, a testament to the rich history of religion and spirituality, is reflected perfectly in the still, dark waters, creating a mesmerizing and atmospheric scene. The ruins of Whitby Abbey, a former Benedictine monastery, have been a source of inspiration for generations. Its storied past is intertwined with the legends of Dracula, as the abbey is said to be the inspiration for Bram Stoker's gothic novel. The abbey's dark and mysterious allure is amplified by the stillness of the night, as the only sounds are the gentle lapping of the water against the shore and the distant hoots of owls. As the first light of dawn begins to break over the horizon, the abbey's silhouette starts to lose its ominous edge, revealing the intricate details of its gothic arches and ornate carvings. The sky, now a brilliant blend of pinks, oranges, and purples, illuminates the abbey, casting a warm glow over the landscape. The reflection in the water becomes a mirror image of the abbey in the light, creating a breathtaking and unforgettable sight. This evocative image, captured by the skilled lens of James O. Davies, invites us to explore the depths of our imagination and to ponder the mysteries of the past. The floodlit view of Whitby Abbey at night is a reminder of the enduring power of history, spirituality, and the natural world.
