17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print by Jonathan Bailey showcases the mesmerizing Knowlton Church and Earthworks in Dorset. The image captures a general view of the site from the West, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in its rich history and serene rural setting. Knowlton Church stands as a poignant reminder of the transition from pagan to Christian worship during medieval times. Its ruins, nestled at the heart of a Neolithic ritual henge earthwork, serve as an emblematic symbol of this transformative period in religious practices. The photograph beautifully juxtaposes elements of both ruin and medieval architecture against the backdrop of ancient neolithic earthworks. This contrast highlights not only the passage of time but also serves as a visual representation of how different civilizations have left their mark on this sacred land. As one gazes upon this image, they are transported back through centuries, envisioning worshippers gathering within these very walls for spiritual solace. The church's weathered stones stand tall amidst nature's embrace, evoking feelings of awe and reverence for those who visit or simply admire it from afar. Jonathan Bailey's skillful composition allows us to appreciate every intricate detail - from the delicate archways that once framed stained glass windows to remnants of ornate carvings adorning its exterior. Through his lens, we witness history unfold before our eyes with each passing moment. This print is more than just an artistic masterpiece; it serves as a window into our collective past. It invites us to reflect on humanity's ever-evolving relationship with faith and spirituality while reminding us that even in ruins, there is beauty waiting to be discovered.
