31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases the tank buster, a formidable weapon that emerged during World War II. Created by an unknown artist, this image captures the surprise sprung upon the Afrika Korps as they raced north from Bir Hakeim in 1942-1943. The tank buster was a game-changing addition to the arsenal of the Royal Air Force (RAF) Middle East, as depicted in "R. A. F. Middle East - The Official Story of Air Operations, Feb. 1942 - Jan. 1943" published by His Majesty's Stationery Office in London. In this close-up portrait, we witness a fighter plane soaring through African skies with its propeller spinning fiercely. This powerful aircraft symbolizes Britain's determination and resilience during wartime. The metal exterior gleams under the bright sunlight as it effortlessly cuts through the air. A man dressed in shorts stands proudly beside his magnificent creation, representing not only himself but also countless brave individuals who fought for their countries during this tumultuous period of history. Their courage and dedication are immortalized within these pages. As we delve into this piece of artistry and literature, we are transported back to an era defined by conflict and sacrifice – where planes like these played pivotal roles in shaping world events. Let us remember those who served valiantly on both sides of the war while appreciating the technological advancements that forever changed warfare tactics.
