17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
. This print transports us to the enchanting landscapes of Darjeeling in the early 20th century. As the day draws to a close, we witness nature's breathtaking spectacle - the last rays of sunlight gently caressing the majestic peaks of Kinchenjunga. The mountain range stands tall and proud, its rugged beauty enhanced by a veil of mist that adds an air of mystery. The artist skillfully captures this fleeting moment, showcasing vibrant colors that paint a vivid picture of India's rich geography. The warm hues of red and orange illuminate the scene, creating a mesmerizing contrast against the cool tones of blue and gray in the surrounding mist. In this painting from J. Burlington Smith's publication "Views of Darjeeling with Typical Native Portraits and Groups" we are transported to a time when exploration was at its peak. It serves as a testament to mankind's fascination with nature's wonders and our desire to capture them for eternity. As we gaze upon this image, we can almost feel ourselves standing on those very slopes, witnessing firsthand nature's grandeur. It is a reminder that even amidst our bustling modern lives, there are still moments where time seems to stand still – moments like these when dusk turns into twilight and mountains become more than just geographical features; they become symbols of resilience and tranquility. This photograph is not merely an artistic creation but also an invitation for us all to appreciate the beauty that surrounds
