FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases "The Parable of the Unjust Steward" painted by Marinus Claesz Reymerswaele in 1540. Housed within the esteemed Art History Museum in Vienna, this baroque masterpiece depicts a biblical parable from the New Testament. In this thought-provoking scene, we witness a repentant steward who has squandered his master's wealth. Faced with impending punishment, he cunningly seeks to secure his future by reducing the debts owed to his master's debtors. The painting explores themes of chance, charity, greed, and justice as it questions our understanding of humanity's moral compass. Reymerswaele skillfully captures both the weakness and inhumanity inherent in mankind through his meticulous brushwork. The use of oil on wood adds depth and richness to each stroke, enhancing the visual impact of this fine art piece. "The Parable of the Unjust Steward" challenges viewers to reflect upon their own actions and attitudes towards money and power. It serves as a reminder that true justice lies not only in punishing wrongdoings but also in acts of compassion and forgiveness. As we delve into this profound narrative rooted in Christian teachings, we are compelled to ponder how our choices can lead us down paths either steeped in sin or guided by righteousness. This mesmerizing artwork invites us to contemplate whether rewards lie solely within material gain or if they extend beyond earthly possessions into spiritual enlightenment.
