17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the picturesque village of Mevagissey in Cornwall, England, as it appeared in 1825. Renowned artist William Daniell skillfully depicts the charm and tranquility of this Cornish coastal gem through his meticulous aquatint technique. The artwork is part of Daniell's remarkable collection titled "A Voyage Around Great Britain Undertaken between the Years 1814 and 1825" which showcases various locations across Britain. In this particular scene, a cluster of boats gracefully sail along the English Channel, their vibrant colors contrasting beautifully with the calm blue waters. The quaint buildings that line the harbour wall add to the idyllic atmosphere, exuding a sense of history and character unique to this Cornish village. Mevagissey's rich maritime heritage is evident as boats serve as both transportation and livelihood for its inhabitants. The landscape itself is breathtaking; rolling hills surround Mevagissey, creating a stunning backdrop against which this charming village thrives. Waves gently crash against the shore, providing a soothing soundtrack to accompany one's exploration of this coastal haven. William Daniell's masterful portrayal transports viewers back in time to experience Cornwall's beauty during the early nineteenth century. This historic photograph print from Heritage Images serves not only as an artistic masterpiece but also as a valuable glimpse into British geography and culture from centuries past.
