23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
Per Hillestrom's Lecture at Drottningholm, 1779, is a captivating group portrait that offers a glimpse into the opulence and grandeur of the 18th century European court. The painting depicts a lecture scene taking place inside the magnificent Drottningholm Castle in Sweden. The cast of characters includes Anhalt Zerbst Princess Sophie, later Catherine II of Russia, and her husband, Gustav III of Sweden, King Gustav III. The empress is dressed in a vibrant red robe, adorned with intricate gold embroidery, while the king dons a richly textured blue coat and white breeches. Surrounding them are courtiers, dressed in the latest fashion, some with feathered hats and others with elaborate waistcoats. The interior of the room is equally impressive, with ornate furniture, a grand chandelier, and intricate interior decoration. The walls are adorned with rich colors and patterns, creating a sense of warmth and luxury. In the foreground, a courtier holds a bird on a leash, adding a touch of whimsy to the scene. The painting is a prime example of the Rococo artistic movement, with its focus on intricate details, vibrant colors, and ornate furnishings. The concept of the painting is not only a depiction of the court of law but also a reflection of the power and wealth of the European monarchy during this period. Overall, Hillestrom's Lecture at Drottningholm, 1779, is a stunning work of art that transports us back in time to the opulent world of 18th-century European royalty.
