Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

This print takes us back to the 14th century, offering a glimpse into a fascinating interlude during a medieval meal. Created by Kellerhoven in 1849 as part of "Le Moyen Age Et La Renaissance", this chromolithograph faithfully reproduces a miniature from the Chronicles of St Denis housed in the Bibliotheque Nationale de France. In this scene, we witness an extraordinary gathering of princes and bishops seated around a grand table adorned with sumptuous furniture. The attention to detail is remarkable, capturing every intricate element - from the elaborate clothing worn by these noble figures to their expressions reflecting both regality and intrigue. To the left of the table stands an imposing ship, symbolizing exploration and adventure amidst turbulent waters. On the right side, a vivid siege scene unfolds, reminding us of the constant battles that shaped medieval Europe. The lithograph's vibrant colors bring life to this historical moment while paying homage to French artistry. It serves as a testament to Paul Lacroix's editorial vision and Ferdinand Sere's artistic direction. As we delve deeper into this image, we are transported not only through time but also across professions and social classes. From kings and bishops down to servants attending diligently at their masters' sides – each person plays their role within society's intricate tapestry. This remarkable piece invites us to reflect on religion, war, transportation methods like ships used for trade or conquests - all integral aspects that defined life during this period.
