17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the essence of Via Garibaldi in the late 19th to early 20th century, showcasing the remarkable talent of American artist Otto H. Bacher. Known for his exceptional etchings, Bacher skillfully brings this bustling Italian street to life with intricate details and a keen eye for composition. Via Garibaldi, located in Genoa, Italy, is renowned for its historic architecture and vibrant atmosphere. In this artwork, Bacher expertly depicts the charming facades of the buildings that line the street, each one telling its own story through ornate balconies and grand entrances. The hustle and bustle of daily life are also evident as people can be seen strolling along the cobblestone pavement or engaging in animated conversations. Bacher's use of light and shadow adds depth to the scene, creating a sense of realism that transports viewers back in time. The attention to detail is impeccable - from architectural elements like arches and columns to small nuances such as window shutters and hanging laundry - every aspect has been meticulously captured. As we admire this exquisite piece from Heritage Art/Heritage Images collection at The Cleveland Museum of Art, we are reminded not only of Bacher's artistic brilliance but also how art has an incredible power to preserve history. This print serves as a testament to both Via Garibaldi's cultural significance during that era and Otto H. Bacher's immense talent as an American artist who beautifully captured it on paper for generations to come
