17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
is a captivating photograph captured by Carleton Emmons Watkins in the late 19th century. This mesmerizing image takes us back to a time when nature's grandeur was celebrated through art. In this remarkable composition, we find ourselves immersed in Calaveras Big Trees State Park, located in Calaveras County, California. The park's magnificent redwood trees dominate the landscape with their towering presence, creating an awe-inspiring sight that leaves us humbled by their sheer size and beauty. Amidst this majestic forest stands a group of people who have come to witness the splendor of these ancient giants. A diverse gathering of men and women are seated on the ground, surrounded by nature's wonders. Their Victorian-era attire adds a touch of elegance to the scene while emphasizing the historical significance of this moment. The circular shape formed by these individuals creates a sense of unity and harmony within this natural setting. As they sit beneath the immense sequoia trees, it becomes evident how small we are compared to Mother Nature's creations. Carleton Emmons Watkins skillfully captures not only the physical attributes but also the essence of this enchanting woodland environment. Through his lens, he transports us back in time to experience firsthand America's rich heritage and its deep connection with nature. This vintage print serves as a reminder that even amidst our modern world, there is still much wisdom and inspiration to be found among these ancient giants
