17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This stunning portrait captures the elegance and grace of Elizabeth Wriothesley, Countess of Northumberland, during the 1670s. Painted by the renowned artist Peter Lely, this artwork showcases her beauty and regal presence. Elizabeth Wriothesley was not only a countess but also one of the Ladies of the Court of Charles II, making her an influential figure in Restoration England. Her exquisite hairstyle and flowing locks frame her face perfectly, accentuating her features with a touch of sophistication. The vibrant colors used in this print bring out the richness and opulence associated with royalty. The deep blues and purples create a striking contrast against Elizabeth's fair complexion, highlighting her status as an aristocrat. As we gaze at this portrait, we are transported back to 17th century Britain where Elizabeth played a significant role in society. This piece is part of the Royal Collection, representing its historical importance within British art. Through this image, we catch a glimpse into Elizabeth's world - a world filled with power dynamics and political intrigue. She was not just another lady at court; she was married to Ralph Montagu, who later became Earl and Duke of Montagu. This print serves as a reminder of Elizabeth Wriothesley's influence during King Charles II's reign and pays tribute to both her beauty and legacy that still captivate us today.
