31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases a remarkable Roman mosaic depicting Bacchus, the Ancient Roman god of Wine, riding on a majestic tiger. Created during the 1st or 2nd century, this artwork is a testament to the rich mythology and artistic prowess of ancient Rome. Bacchus, also known as Dionysius in Greek mythology, was revered for his association with wine and revelry. In this mosaic, he is depicted in vibrant colors, exuding an aura of power and divine presence. His choice of transportation adds an intriguing element to the scene – riding on a fierce tiger symbolizes both his mastery over wild nature and his ability to bring forth intoxicating pleasures. The intricate details of this mosaic are truly awe-inspiring. Each tile meticulously placed to form Bacchus' flowing robes and the tiger's powerful muscles creates a sense of movement frozen in time. This masterpiece now resides in the prestigious British Museum in London, where it continues to captivate visitors from around the world. Through this image, we are transported back to ancient Rome - a time when gods were worshipped fervently and art served as a medium for storytelling and religious devotion. The fusion of Roman mythology with Greek influences further highlights the interconnectedness between these two great civilizations. As we gaze upon this extraordinary print by Unknown (creator), we are reminded not only of Bacchus' role as a deity but also how art has preserved history for generations to come.
