23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the aftermath of a fierce storm that wreaked havoc on a group of Cessna 150 aircraft at Cardiff International Airport on October 27th, 2002. The image showcases the resilience and vulnerability of these light aircraft in the face of nature's fury. The scene is one of chaos and destruction, as the once sleek and pristine C150s now bear visible scars from the powerful storm. Broken wings, twisted propellers, and mangled fuselages serve as haunting reminders of Mother Nature's indiscriminate force. It is a testament to both the strength and fragility inherent in aviation. Amidst this wreckage lies an opportunity for reflection. Pilots are reminded not only of their own limitations but also their unwavering determination to overcome adversity. This photograph serves as a stark reminder that even machines designed for flight can be humbled by natural forces beyond our control. While it may be tempting to view this image solely through its technical lens, we must remember that behind every damaged aircraft lies countless stories: pilots who have braved turbulent skies, navigated challenging weather conditions, or embarked on exhilarating journeys across vast landscapes. Ultimately, this print encapsulates more than just storm damage; it symbolizes resilience in the face of adversity and serves as a poignant reminder that even amidst destruction, there remains hope for restoration and renewed flights towards new horizons.
