23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This engraving, a reproduction of Thomas Moran's painting "The Upper Yellowstone Falls" transports us to the majestic wilderness of Wyoming in 1873. The image showcases the breathtaking view from the base of the falls, with a solitary human figure standing atop a massive rock formation in the foreground. As we gaze upon this scene, we are reminded of our humble place within nature's grandeur. The towering waterfall cascades down with tremendous force, creating an awe-inspiring spectacle that captivates both our eyes and our imagination. The sheer power and beauty of this natural wonder is beautifully captured in Moran's artwork. The inclusion of a single male figure adds depth to the composition, emphasizing man's connection to his environment. Standing on that prominent rock, he becomes one with nature – witnessing its raw power while contemplating his own existence amidst such magnificence. Moran masterfully depicts every intricate detail – from the patterns etched into rocks by centuries of erosion to the delicate mist rising from the crashing water below. Through his skilled hand and keen eye for capturing light and shadow, he invites us into this pristine landscape where time seems to stand still. This archival print not only preserves Moran's artistic legacy but also serves as a reminder of our responsibility towards environmental conservation. It encourages us to cherish these precious landscapes for future generations so they too can experience their profound beauty firsthand.
