Storm Wilderness Hazardous Inhospitable Untamed
23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print by Ben Cranke, we are transported to the untamed and hazardous beauty of the Shiretoko Peninsula in Japan. The stormy seas clash with the rugged coastline, creating a mesmerizing display of nature's power. As wind-blown waves relentlessly strike against the rocky shores, one can't help but feel a sense of awe and respect for these wild waters. The image captures the essence of wilderness at its most raw and unyielding. The dark clouds looming overhead add an ominous touch, emphasizing the inhospitable nature of this coastal landscape. It serves as a reminder that even amidst civilization's advancements, there are still places where Mother Nature reigns supreme. Cranke's skillful composition allows us to immerse ourselves in this scene; we can almost taste the salt spray on our lips and feel the gusts of wind whipping through our hair. Through his lens, he has frozen a fleeting moment in time when chaos meets tranquility. This print is not just a mere depiction; it is an invitation to contemplate our place within nature's grand design. It reminds us that despite all our attempts to control and tame our surroundings, there will always be forces beyond our reach – reminding us how small we truly are. Whether displayed in a home or office space, this artwork from Fine Art Storehouse will undoubtedly spark conversations about resilience, power, and humanity's relationship with its environment.
