23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Hampstead Revels - A Glimpse into London's Joyful Past

EDITORS COMMENTS
. This photo print, taken by the General Photographic Agency in 1892, transports us back to a vibrant Bank Holiday on Hampstead Heath. The image captures a holiday crowd brimming with excitement and adorned in their finest Easter bonnets. Men and women of all ages can be seen dancing joyously amidst the picturesque park setting. The photograph exudes an air of camaraderie as friends and families come together to revel in this momentary break from work. It beautifully showcases the love, enjoyment, and affectionate bonds shared among these individuals during this festive occasion. Intriguingly, scattered throughout the crowd are various musical instruments adding a melodious touch to the scene. The rhythmic beats emanating from these instruments seem to infuse even more energy into the atmosphere. Noteworthy is also the fashion of that era; both men donning dapper suits with bowler hats while women elegantly sport straw hats or bonnets. Their attire reflects not only their sense of style but also highlights how clothing played an integral role in expressing one's identity during that time period. As we gaze upon this archival gem, we cannot help but feel transported back to a bygone era filled with merriment and leisure activities. This photograph serves as a testament to London's rich cultural heritage while reminding us of the importance of cherishing moments spent together in celebration – just like those captured on that
