31"x27" (79x69cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this print, we are transported back in time to the Regency period, where a family gathers around a beautifully set table to enjoy a hearty meal. The scene is filled with warmth and joy as they celebrate the end of harvest season. Every detail in this illustration by George Cruikshank brings the setting to life. The intricate patterns on the tablecloth and elegant china plates showcase the refinement of this era. The family members, dressed in their finest attire, exude an air of contentment as they engage in lively conversation. The artist's attention to detail extends beyond just capturing the physical appearance of each character; he also manages to convey their emotions through subtle facial expressions and body language. One can almost hear their laughter and feel their camaraderie. This particular scene takes place in Suffolk, England, adding an authentic touch to its historical significance. It serves as a reminder of simpler times when communities would come together after months of hard work during harvest season. "Regency period family enjoying a hearty meal" is not just an image frozen in time but rather a glimpse into an important cultural tradition - "The Horkey". This celebration marks both gratitude for bountiful crops and unity within families and communities. Whitemay's print allows us to appreciate not only the artistic talent behind it but also invites us into a world long gone by – one that cherishes shared meals, cherished traditions, and treasured moments spent with loved ones.
