17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
In this photo print, we witness the renowned Michel de Nostradame being consulted on the fate of the seven children belonging to Catherine de Medici and Henri II. The year is 1548, and we find ourselves in the grand palace grounds where this momentous event unfolds. Michel de Nostradame, a visionary prophet and esteemed astrologer-physician of his time, stands on a magnificent balcony overlooking the royal court. His piercing gaze reflects both wisdom and mystery as he delves into the depths of his prophetic abilities. The scene exudes an air of anticipation as members of the French nobility seek answers from this enigmatic figure. Catherine de Medici herself stands nearby, her maternal instincts evident as she breastfeeds one of her children while surrounded by loyal attendants. The architectural splendor surrounding them serves as a reminder of their regal status and power within Renaissance France. The delicate balance between royalty and prophecy is palpable in this image - two worlds colliding for a glimpse into what lies ahead. This print captures not only a historical moment but also showcases the intersection between faith, destiny, and human curiosity. It reminds us that even those in positions of authority turn to visionaries like Nostradamus for guidance when faced with uncertainty about their loved ones' futures. Through its composition and subject matter, this artwork invites us to ponder our own beliefs in fate's hand while marveling at Nostradamus' enduring influence centuries later.
