Hall Refectory Tables Brunswick Square

17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

The Girls Dining Room of the Foundling Hospital, 1773

EDITORS COMMENTS
is a captivating glimpse into the past, captured in this exquisite photo print. The image transports us to a time when young girls gathered together in a grand hall to share their meals at the renowned Foundling Hospital in London. The room itself exudes elegance and orderliness, with rows of neatly arranged tables stretching across its vast space. The uniformed girls are seated attentively, engrossed in conversation or perhaps lost in their own thoughts. Their presence adds life and vibrancy to the scene, as they become part of an enduring legacy that has shaped countless lives. Portraits adorning the walls bear witness to those who have come before them – esteemed individuals whose contributions have made this institution possible. These paintings serve as reminders of hope and inspiration for these young girls, offering glimpses into what they too can achieve. The painting skillfully captures every minute detail - from the intricate designs on each tablecloth to the play of light filtering through tall windows onto polished floors. It is evident that artist John Sanders possessed great talent and dedication when creating this masterpiece. This print allows us to appreciate not only the artistic brilliance but also serves as a historical document preserving an important chapter in London's history. It reminds us of how far we have come while honoring those who paved the way for future generations.
