17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases "The Music Hall" painted by Walter Richard Sickert in 1889. The oil on canvas artwork, measuring 61x51 cm, is housed at the Musee des Beaux-Arts in Rouen, France. The painting depicts a scene from a theater, capturing the essence of late 19th-century Victorian entertainment. In this vibrant composition, we see a young girl taking center stage as she sings her heart out to an enthusiastic audience. Her voice resonates through the hall as she performs amidst the grandeur of ornate architecture and opulent decor. The artist skillfully captures the energy and excitement that fills the air during vaudeville shows. One intriguing detail within this piece is reflected in its title: "The P. S. Wings in the O. P. Mirror". This enigmatic phrase adds depth to our interpretation of the painting's narrative but leaves room for individual imagination. Sickert's mastery lies not only in his ability to depict figures with remarkable realism but also in his talent for conveying emotions through color and brushstrokes. His use of rich hues and intricate details transports us back to an era when music halls were at their peak popularity. As we gaze upon this mesmerizing image, we are transported into a world where live performances captivated audiences night after night—a testament to both human creativity and our timeless desire for artistic expression.
