17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases a magnificent Singing-bird box from the mid-19th century. Crafted by the Swiss School, this exquisite piece of art measures 9x3 cm and is currently held in a private collection. The Singing-bird box is an extraordinary example of masterful craftsmanship, combining enamel, diamonds, and gold to create a truly opulent design. The rectangular box features intricate engine-turned and engraved foliage decorations on its brass movement. Its cover is adorned with chased acanthus motifs and blue champleve enamel over an engine-turned ground with delicate scroll patterns. A slide at the front opens the hinged oval cover, revealing a stunning display of royal blue enamel set with sparkling rose-cut diamonds. Upon opening, a finely pierced and engraved grille is unveiled along with a colorful plumed bird that rotates on its axis. This mechanical marvel comes to life as it chirps melodiously, flaps its wings gracefully, wags its tail playfully, turns its head elegantly, and even opens its beak in song. This singing-bird box not only serves as an ornamental treasure but also functions as an enchanting toy-like automaton. It represents the epitome of objet de vertu - an object of great beauty and value created for sheer delight. Through this photograph captured by eChristies Images courtesy of Bridgeman Images, we are transported back in time to appreciate the skillful artistry behind this mesmerizing creation that seamlessly blends music and mechanics into one harmonious masterpiece.
