FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases Franz Xavier Winterhalter's painting "Le Decameron (The Decameron)" inspired by Giovanni Boccaccio's collection of stories. In this composition, ten young individuals are gathered in the idyllic countryside surrounding Florence, Italy, seeking refuge from the devastating plague. Painted in 1837 during the Romantic period of German art, Winterhalter skillfully captures the essence of Boccaccio's tales. The scene exudes a sense of tranquility and escapism as these characters find solace amidst nature's beauty. The lush greenery and rolling hills serve as a backdrop for their respite from the horrors of the outside world. Each figure is meticulously depicted, evoking emotions ranging from contemplation to camaraderie. Winterhalter's use of color adds depth and vibrancy to this masterpiece. The warm hues create an inviting atmosphere that contrasts with the dark times they are fleeing. It is evident that every brushstroke was carefully chosen to convey both realism and emotion. This artwork not only pays homage to Boccaccio but also transports viewers back to medieval Italy, offering a glimpse into life during the 14th century. It serves as a reminder that even in times of despair, there is always room for hope and unity. Displayed at Liechtenstein Museum in Vienna, Austria, this painting continues to captivate audiences with its timeless beauty and narrative power. Its presence on Fine Art Finder allows art enthusiasts worldwide to appreciate Winterhalter's talent
