Colonnade Corinthian Entablature Frieze Provence Steps Stylobate Tympanum

17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the breathtaking view of Maison Carrée, a Roman temple located in Nimes, France. Built during the Augustan age around 19 BC, this architectural masterpiece is believed to have been dedicated to Lucius and Caius, sons of Agrippa. The Maison Carrée has stood the test of time and since 1961 it has served as a lapidary museum. The image showcases the grandeur of this ancient structure with its hexastyle portico adorned with Corinthian columns. The steps leading up to the temple create an aura of majesty while highlighting its significance as a place of worship. The colonnade surrounding the building adds an element of elegance and symmetry to its design. Every detail in this photograph speaks volumes about the rich history and exceptional craftsmanship that went into creating such an iconic monument. From the stylobate supporting the columns to the intricate frieze decorating its entablature, every aspect demonstrates Roman architectural brilliance. The imposing tympanum at the top completes this stunning composition, showcasing both beauty and power in one frame. This pseudoperipteral temple stands tall against a clear blue sky, inviting viewers to admire its timeless splendor. As you gaze upon this remarkable print by Bridgeman Images, you can't help but be transported back in time to witness firsthand one of Provence's most treasured landmarks – Maison Carrée – where history comes alive through extraordinary architecture.
