17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases Edouard Manet's iconic painting, "Portrait of Berthe Morisot in a veil" created around 1872. The oil on canvas masterpiece captures the essence of mourning and grief during the 19th century. Berthe Morisot, a prominent female figure in French art history, is depicted as a veiled woman, evoking a sense of mystery and melancholy. Manet's skillful brushstrokes bring out the delicate features of Morisot's face, highlighting her femininity and elegance. The artist masterfully portrays her sorrow through subtle details such as her downcast eyes and somber expression. This portrait not only reflects the personal emotions of Morisot but also serves as an emblematic representation of grief experienced by women during that era. The painting falls within the realm of Impressionism, an influential art movement that emerged in France during the late 19th century. It revolutionized traditional artistic techniques by focusing on capturing fleeting moments and atmospheric impressions rather than precise details. Through this photo print, Stefano Baldini beautifully captures Manet's profound artwork while preserving its historical significance. The image transports viewers back to a time when fashion played an essential role in society, showcasing 19th-century trends with grace and sophistication. Overall, this stunning piece invites contemplation on themes such as loss, femininity, and artistic expression—a true testament to both Manet's genius and Baldini's talent for immortalizing works of art through photography
