FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases Eugene Boudin's masterpiece, "Malakoff Tower and the Shore at Trouville; La Tour Malakoff et le Rivage a Trouville". Painted in 1877, this oil on panel artwork measures 32.3x57 cm and is currently held in a private collection. Boudin, a renowned French artist of the nineteenth century, was known for his impressionistic style that beautifully captured natural spaces and everyday scenes. In this particular piece, he skillfully portrays the stunning coastline of Trouville with its iconic Malakoff Tower. The painting depicts a picturesque scene during daytime, where people can be seen enjoying the beach and harbor wall. Boudin's attention to detail is evident as he captures not only the architectural features of buildings but also the posture and activities of individuals present. A young woman sits gracefully on the shore while a child plays nearby. The composition creates a sense of depth through diminishing perspective, drawing our gaze towards both the tower and distant shoreline. Boudin's use of vibrant colors and loose brushstrokes adds an impressionistic touch to this coastal landscape. The play between light and shadow further enhances its visual appeal. With its charming depiction of Normandy's coast in late nineteenth-century France, this artwork transports viewers back in time to experience both the beauty of nature and daily life during that era.
