17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
The captivating portrait captures the elegance and grace of Archduchess Maria Caroline of Austria, a prominent figure in European history. Painted by Jean-Etienne Liotard in 1762, this print showcases the archduchess at a young age, radiating an air of sophistication. Maria Caroline was born into royalty as the daughter of Emperor Francis I and Empress Maria Theresa of Austria. Her lineage is evident in her regal demeanor and refined features depicted in this artwork. The artist skillfully portrays her with delicate brushstrokes, capturing every detail from her intricate gown to her serene expression. This portrait holds historical significance as it marks a pivotal moment in Maria Caroline's life. In 1768, she married Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies (later known as Ferdinand IV), who would become King of Naples. This union solidified political alliances between Austria and Naples during that era. Displayed at Hofburg in Vienna, Austria, this print allows us to admire not only the artistic talent behind its creation but also offers a glimpse into the opulent world inhabited by European nobility during the 18th century. As we gaze upon this image, we are transported back to an era where power and beauty intertwined seamlessly. Archduchess Maria Caroline stands as a testament to both her family's legacy and her own individuality—a woman whose influence extended far beyond borders and time itself.
