FSC real wood frame with double mounted 24x20 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 31x27 inches (787x685mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

Cornelia and her Jewels
EDITORS COMMENTS
is a captivating oil painting that beautifully captures the essence of Roman female virtue. The artist, Jan van Bijlert or Bylert, skillfully portrays Cornelia, the daughter of Scipio Africanus and mother of the Gracchi brothers, Tiberius and Gaius Gracchus. This masterpiece can be found at the Musee des Beaux-Arts in Orleans, France. In this stunning artwork, Cornelia stands as an exemplar of modesty and classical elegance. She is depicted wearing a simple dress with no jewelry adorning her neck or wrists. When questioned about her lack of adornments, she proudly points to her two sons and declares them to be her true jewels. The painting not only showcases Cornelia's virtuous character but also symbolizes the importance of family treasures over material possessions. The pearls may represent wealth and opulence, but it is evident that Cornelia values the love and bond she shares with her children above all else. Through this timeless piece, we are reminded that true beauty lies within one's character rather than external appearances. "Cornelia and her Jewels" serves as a powerful reminder to cherish our loved ones as our most precious treasures while embodying the virtues celebrated by ancient Rome.
