23"x19" (58x48cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 16x12 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 23x19 inches (584x482mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases Jacob Jordaens' masterpiece, "Moses Striking Water from the Rock" painted between 1645 and 1650. Measuring an impressive 129.5x269.2 cm, this oil on canvas artwork is housed in the prestigious J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, USA. The painting depicts a powerful biblical scene from the Old Testament where Moses strikes a rock with his staff to miraculously produce water for the thirsty Israelites during their journey through the desert of Sinai. The composition beautifully captures men, women, and children eagerly quenching their thirst alongside camels and other animals amidst a dry and barren landscape. Jordaens' masterful use of color and light brings life to this baroque artwork while emphasizing the desperation of those longing for relief from their arduous journey. This painting serves as a testament to faith, resilience, and divine intervention. As you gaze upon this stunning print, you can almost feel the scorching heat of the desert sun and hear the collective sighs of relief as water gushes forth from an ordinary stone at Moses' command. It reminds us that miracles can happen even in our most challenging moments. Immerse yourself in this timeless depiction that not only tells a story but also invites contemplation on themes such as faith, perseverance, and hope for reaching one's promised land – both literally and metaphorically.
