17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This engraving, titled "Moses rescued from the Nile" transports us back to ancient times and depicts a pivotal moment in biblical history. Created by an anonymous German artist of the 18th century, this artwork is housed in the Biblioteca Nacional in Madrid, Spain. The scene portrays Moses, a Hebrew prophet and legislator of the Old Testament, being saved from certain death as an infant. According to the Bible, fearing for his life due to Pharaoh's decree to kill all Hebrew male babies, Moses' mother placed him in a basket and set him adrift on the Nile River. Miraculously, he was discovered by Pharaoh's daughter who took pity on him and raised him as her own. The intricate details of this engraving beautifully capture both the perilous nature of Moses' situation and the divine intervention that ultimately led to his rescue. The flowing waters of the Nile symbolize both danger and salvation while emphasizing Egypt's significance in this story. This artwork serves not only as a testament to religious faith but also highlights themes such as courage, compassion, and destiny. It reminds us that even during challenging times when lives are at stake or societal norms oppress certain groups like Black Lives Matter today - acts of kindness can change destinies forever. As we admire this piece from Fine Art Finder's collection courtesy of Bridgeman Images, we are reminded once again how art has always been intertwined with historical events and continues to inspire reflection on our shared human experiences across time.
