17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
The captivating print showcases Pompeo Girolamo Batoni's masterpiece, "La parabole du fils prodigue - The Parable of the prodigal Son". Painted in 1773, this oil on canvas artwork measures an impressive 138.4x100 cm and is housed in the renowned Art History Museum in Vienna. Batoni's painting depicts a powerful biblical scene from the New Testament, illustrating the story of the prodigal son. The artist skillfully captures various emotions and themes within this single composition. The image portrays a family torn apart by recklessness and greed but ultimately reunited through love, forgiveness, and redemption. The father figure stands at the center of attention with open arms, symbolizing unconditional love and hospitality. His face reveals both concern for his wayward child as well as hope for their return. Meanwhile, the remorseful son kneels before his father in regret and repentance. This profound religious narrative serves as a moral lesson about familial bonds, personal growth, regrettable choices, forgiveness, and spiritual transformation. Through Batoni's masterful brushwork and use of light and shadow techniques typical of 18th-century Italian artistry, he brings to life these timeless themes that continue to resonate with audiences today. As we gaze upon this remarkable print captured by eFine Art Images from Bridgeman Images' collection without commercial intent or mention thereof – let us reflect on our own lives: Have we strayed? Can we find it within ourselves to seek forgiveness?
