17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print captures the timeless beauty of Memling's "Virgin and Child" a masterpiece created between 1485-90. The oil on panel painting showcases the tender bond between the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus Christ, radiating with divine love and maternal affection. Hans Memling, a renowned Netherlandish artist from the 15th century, skillfully portrays this sacred moment. The Virgin Mary gazes adoringly at her infant son while cradling him in her arms. Her serene expression reflects both devotion and humility as she fulfills her role as mother to the Son of God. The composition is enhanced by a breathtaking landscape in the background, adding depth to the scene. Lush greenery surrounds them, symbolizing fertility and growth. A single apple rests beside them, alluding to Adam and Eve's original sin but also representing redemption through Christ. Displayed at the National Museum of Ancient Art in Lisbon, Portugal, this artwork continues to captivate viewers with its delicate brushwork and emotional resonance. It serves as a testament to Memling's artistic genius and his ability to convey spiritual themes through his paintings. This print allows art enthusiasts worldwide to appreciate every intricate detail of this iconic piece without any commercial use or restrictions. It is an invitation into Memling's world—a world where faith intertwines with artistry—and reminds us of the enduring power that religious iconography holds throughout history.
