17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame
FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This portrait, titled "Portrait of Diamond Hardinge (1900-1927)" by William Nicholson, showcases the talent and skill of the British artist. Painted in 1915 using oil on canvas, this artwork measures 92x71 cm and is currently held in a private collection. The subject of the painting is Diamond Hardinge, a teenage girl from the early twentieth century. She appears deep in thought, contemplating something beyond our view. Her solemn expression and aversion towards the viewer create an air of mystery and intrigue. Diamond's brown hair cascades down her shoulders as she looks away into the distance. The dark background accentuates her profile and draws attention to her contemplative gaze. Dressed in a white blouse with accessories that reflect her European heritage, she exudes both modernity and traditional British charm. Nicholson's masterful use of color brings out Diamond's youthful temperament while capturing every detail with precision. Her pensive posture suggests a moment frozen in time, inviting viewers to ponder what thoughts might be running through her mind. This intimate close-up allows us to delve into Diamond's world as we observe her inside a studio setting. The black background contrasts beautifully with her fair complexion and long dark hair. "Portrait of Diamond Hardinge" is not just an exquisite piece of art; it also offers us a glimpse into the life and emotions of this young woman from another era.
