17"x15" (43x38cm) Premium Frame

FSC real wood frame with double mounted 10x8 print. Double mounted with white conservation mountboard. Frame moulding comprises stained composite natural wood veneers (Finger Jointed Pine) 39mm wide by 21mm thick. Archival quality Fujifilm CA photo paper mounted onto 1mm card. Overall outside dimensions are 17x15 inches (431x381mm). Rear features Framing tape to cover staples, 50mm Hanger plate, cork bumpers. Glazed with durable thick 2mm Acrylic to provide a virtually unbreakable glass-like finish. Acrylic Glass is far safer, more flexible and much lighter than typical mineral glass. Moreover, its higher translucency makes it a perfect carrier for photo prints. Acrylic allows a little more light to penetrate the surface than conventional glass and absorbs UV rays so that the image and the picture quality doesn't suffer under direct sunlight even after many years. Easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Please note that, to prevent the paper falling through the mount window and to prevent cropping of the original artwork, the visible print may be slightly smaller to allow the paper to be securely attached to the mount without any white edging showing and to match the aspect ratio of the original artwork.

EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases a magnificent Pair of Flintlock Dueling Pistols with Case and Accessories, dating back to the late 18th century. Created by H. W. Mortimer & Sons, renowned English gunsmiths of the 18th Century, these pistols are an exquisite example of craftsmanship from that era. The pistols themselves are a sight to behold, with their ornate decoration and intricate engravings on the metalwork. The woodwork is beautifully crafted, adding elegance and sophistication to the overall design. These weapons were not only functional but also served as symbols of status and power during duels in that period. Accompanied by a case and various accessories made from wood, iron, brass, silver, lead, silk, cloth, and flint; this ensemble represents the complete arsenal required for a duel at that time. The incised decorations on the case further enhance its allure. Once owned by Rufus King and now part of the esteemed collection at New-York Historical Society in USA; this pair of pistols holds historical significance beyond its visual appeal. It serves as a testament to both artistry and weaponry during one of history's most intriguing periods. Thanks to Bridgeman Images' fine art reproduction expertise captured in this photo print; we can admire every detail without commercial use infringement concerns. This image allows us to appreciate not just the beauty but also understand how these flintlock dueling pistols played an essential role in shaping history centuries ago.
